Chitrobhasha Film Festival Is a celebration of films and filmmakers, it promotes national and international independent films, in appreciation of the fact that movies are the most powerful form of cultural communication and link between cultures and peoples. The periodical celebration of film provides an important showcase for the best of world cinema, a platform for national and international film artists, and promotes dialogue among filmmakers and the public.
We are looking for creative, innovative, thought-provoking, and entertaining independent films. As well new international feature releases independently produced fiction films and documentaries, animation, experimental works, short subjects are included in the festival. The purpose of our `Chitrobhasha Film Festival’ is not only to create interest and spark creativity in people of specific ages with limited income or resources but to inspire creative filmmakers to live to their potential and realize the opportunity to fulfill their dream. The `Chitrobhasha Film Festival – film by phone session, 2021’ is for the citizens of Bangladesh only! Ages of 15+ participants are welcome.
For the past few years Chitrobhasha Gallery has organized a couple of exhibitions, online art show and other socio-cultural dimension. This successful experience gives us the courage to organize `Chitrobhasha Film Festival’ in 2021 for the first time. Beside this, COVID 19 situation is hindering the physical existence of organizing film festivals. In line with this we have adopted online base film showcasing. Love movies, stay safe, stay connected.
